Published Monday March 6

You’re probably still trying to avoid the potholes this morning… Sonoma County roads have taken a large hit this winter: to the tune of 16-million dollars in damage. About half of that cost will be covered by federal dollars, the rest will have to come out of our own coffers. There are still 4 roads in the county that are closed due to storm damage: Old Monte Rio Road west of Guerneville, North Fitch Mountain and Pine Flat Road near Healdsburg and Geysers Road east of Cloverdale.

And work begins today on Green Valley Creek in Graton that caused colossal problems for Graton Road during the storms. Emergency repair work on a road near Green Valley Creek is set to get underway.
